The Department of Education sent the new “MESSAGTB” file to all SAIG mailbox users on June 24th, which contains the latest message class table and is available through FSA’s Knowledge Center website.
How to import the MESSAGTB file:
- The EDconnect software will automatically request, download, and import the new message class table through the SAIG network during your next connection. The message class table will be available once it is imported.
- FTI-SAIG mailbox users will need to connect to SAIG to receive the new file.
Instructions for multi networked and stand alone PCs:
- Using Multiple Networked PCs – If a user has performed a network installation of EDconnect, the new message class table will import into the EDconnect database on the user’s network drive. Individual workstations will all have access to the new message class table after it has been imported.
- Using Multiple Stand-Alone PCs – If using the current version of EDconnect, the message class table will automatically download and update EDconnect on each PC that initiates a transmission.
